November is Family Engagement Month!
Florida Family Engagement in Education Month is a time to celebrate the important role parents and families play in their children's education. When schools work together with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed, not just in school, but throughout life. The Florida Department of Education recognizes the vital role that schools and families play throughout a child's educational journey. Picture Retakes November 29
If your student missed the first picture day then make sure they're ready on 11/29. If you pre-ordered and don't like the photos then send in the portrait package with your student on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving to have them retaken and replaced. If you would like to preorder we have forms in the Front Office, or you can visit Leonard's Photography at www.leonards.com/photoprepay with access code R433644.
The Wonderland Gift Shoppe (sponsored by PFA) will be open November 30-December 7 for students to purchase gifts for family, pets, and more! But, we can't do it without your help. Sign up to assist students with budgeting and selecting gifts. ONLY APPROVED VOLUNTEERS MAY SIGN UP. If you don't know your status you can contact the Front Office at 336-2575.
Red & Blue Cards for Parent Pick Up Cars
This week students dismissed as car riders were given 2 red or blue cards with their last name and grade. These should be displayed in your passenger side windshield to help speed up dismissal times. Use the Parent Pick Up lot that corresponds with your home address, to ensure traffic is evenly distributed. If you live south of the school (Hibernia, Green Cove) use the South PPU lot near the Front Office and display your BLUE CARD. If you live north of the school (Pace Island) use North PPU (behind cafe) and display your RED CARD.
